BCCI did not give NOC for Indian Bowler S Sreesanth to play in Indian cricket team

Everyone has been expecting Indian cricket player S Sreesanth news about his comeback to International cricket matches. On 24 January 2017 BCCI announced that it will not issue NOC for Sreesanth to play in Scotland Cricket League matches. With this later development there is a great disappointment for S Sreesanth who was planning for a come back to Indian cricket team. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made this tough decision to deny issue of No Objection Certificate (NOC) to S Sreesanth.

S Sreesanth is controversial Indian fast bowler who was arrested for connection to Indian Premier League (IPL) match fixing case in 2013. After getting involved in match fixing in IPL Match,  BCCI’s disciplinary committee had given a punishment of life ban to him. Later as this case proceeded there was no evidence to prove that he is guilty in this case. Still he did not get a clear certificate of No Objection to play for India in cricket matches by Board of Control for Cricket in India. As problems have been rectified there was lot of expectations by cricket fans that S Sreesanth from Kerala will come again in Indian cricket team.

Scotland Cricket League cricket matches is one of the upcoming International ODI’s for Indian team in 2017. Sreesanth who hoped to make come back to cricket team through Scotland Cricket League was disappointed with this decision by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Sreesanth news regarding not getting NOC for Scotland Cricket League matches is a shocking one for everyone. This shows how much tough is BCCI regarding such cases and they are final word for lifting ban. BCCI has full authority to take action against cricket players who are found guilty. As S.Sreesanth was later found by Court that he is not involved in crime expected a positive response from BCCI. But they denied NOC to Sreesanth in Scotland league in 2017.

Indian cricketer Sreesanth was arrested as per Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in 2015 with 2 other players. Even though these cases do not exist against him at present a come back to him may be difficult.

BCCI life ban on S Sreesanth’s career may not be lifted up in 2017. So now there are lesser hopes for Sreesanth to get a clean certificate from BCCI internal committee.

Shanthakumaran Sreesanth is a right arm fast medium pace bowler who is from Kerala. He played for Indian cricket team and for Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League.

Sreesanth news in 2016 was when he tried to contest in Assembly elections of Kerala as candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Trivandrum. In this Kerala assembly election Sreesanth suffered a huge defeat.
